You will be a key part of the Tees Valley Museums Group (TVMG). TVMG is a consortium of the Local Authority Museums of the Tees Valley whose work is funded through the Arts Council England as a National Portfolio Organisation. It is an exciting time to join TVMG as multi-million-pound capital investments are transforming our sites including a £35 million pound development of a Rail Heritage Quarter in Darlington and the construction of new open access store and 500m” exhibition space at Preston Park Museum.

Your role will be to work across the Tees Valley Museum Group to support our consortium partners in the delivery of innovative and creative community engagement.

You will work with partners to add extra layers of community activity linked to and supporting partner museum programming. You will also develop co curated work and projects that support our Museum By Me and Museum of Missing Stories projects that address gaps in our collections and narratives and allow our communities greater access to our collection.

As part of an accessible approach to our work you will engage with a variety of different communities to celebrate the diverse heritage of the Tees Valley. The work produced with and by the community will be validated through exhibitions, publications, events and online displays.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work a % of their working time away from the office
