**Hours per week: 06:00 to 16:00, 08:00 to 18:00, 06:00 to 18:00 on a Variable Shift Rota - 40 hours per week**

**Job Overview**

We are currently recruiting for a Flexible Skilled Operator to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Knowsley.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- The FSO will be expected to operate within the Reel Room ensuring reels are received, stored, available, prepared and managed accordingly to meet production requirements to the required standards.
- The FSO will be responsible for setting up and Reel stand operation and assisting in the Press Hall in line with the quality process documentation.
- At all times, the FSO will ensure that the reels are prepared according to the production requirements in a safe manner.
- Additionally, the FSO is expected to work flexibly across the Newsprinters operations and as part of a team to meet the business needs.

- Ability to assist colleagues in other operations/ departments as required
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to learn and understand the internal operating systems and processes.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Good organisational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to work safely.
- License/certification for any material handling equipment you are required to operate.
- Ideally holds an FLT licence ( Not essential)
