**A bit about the role**

**This role is a 40 hour working week, Monday
- Friday.**

As a transport operative you will be working as a member of a new small team looking after and dealing with all Health & Safety aspects of our very busy distribution site and be responsible for the safe operation of everyone and everything in this area from our own outgoing drivers and vehicles in the morning, our Third Party hauliers and drivers delivering to the site and then our returning vehicles and drivers later in the day. Your duties will include but not be limited to the safe operating systems in the yard in conjunction with the Transport and Warehouse teams.

It is essential for all applicants to have basic knowledge of safe systems of work, a good mind towards a dynamic and on the spot risk assessment strategy and how the mind works of an LGV driver therefore it is essential you have a background knowledge of working in a fast paced transport environment. An LGV license is not essential as there will be no requirement to shunt or move vehicles.
