**About The Role**:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Public Open Spaces team for an Operations Supervisor (with a focus on Grounds Maintenance services).

The Grounds Maintenance team is responsible for the high standard maintenance of parks and open spaces, allotments, cemeteries and assorted sports and play facilities.

In this varied and busy role, you will supervise the day-to-day operations, leading the team, identifying workloads and allocating tasks.

You’ll supervise and motivate our Operations Team to deliver a consistently high-quality service to residents whilst building strong working relationships with colleagues.

This position has a normal starting time of 7-7.30am due to the nature of the services delivered. Occasional weekend and bank holiday working will be required.

This position is for a 12 month fixed term contract, however there is potential for this to become a permanent appointment

**About You**:
To succeed you’ll need horticulture experience, knowledge of grounds maintenance and experience of supervising and monitoring operations and motivating employees on a daily basis.

You’ll need to be able to use Microsoft Office packages, have a high level of organisational skills and a customer orientated approach. Monitoring and performance management skills are important along with knowledge of Health and Safety and Risk Management.

You’ll need a full Driving licence and access to your own vehicle for work purposes.
