- **Wiltshire Police** - Researcher**
- Full time (37 hours) Permanent and Fixed Term/Secondment (12months) available. Reasonable part time requests will be considered depending on organisational requirements
- Interviews will be held on 27th and 28th March 2024
- Agile work environment with Devizes base, but regular travel will be required throughout the county depending on operational needs
- Salary £27,342pa rising to £28,161pa after qualifying period. Unsocial hours and weekend working shifts will attract an additional allowance of up to 20%

We are currently seeking an Intelligence Researcher to join our Intelligence Development team. You do not need previous police experience for this role, but you should have experience of conducting research in operational settings. You will thrive in an environment where information is the key, tenaciously acquiring your research through a multitude of platforms to assist in the development of a detailed intelligence picture. This role will provide an opportunity to develop a complex and desirable skillset which would transfer to a variety of roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for civilians to become involved in strategic policing and really make a difference to the people of Wiltshire.

**Main duties will include**:

- Collecting and collating research information for intelligence analysts, developing information and intelligence with specific attention to nominated sectors or specific crime types
- Building a picture of criminality and community issues throughout Wiltshire
- Identifying intelligence gaps and using initiative to resolve these issues

**The successful applicant will be**:

- Fully computer literate with experience of utilising different software packages
- Able to provide evidence of working under pressure with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Highly skilled in problem solving
- Able to adapt to changing priorities and timescales
