This firm specializes in the production of precision components, primarily catering to the automotive, aerospace, and energy sectors, serving a global clientele.

In the capacity of Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the complete project lifecycle, from initial ideation through design, validation, testing, production release, and ensuring sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with Lead Engineers and fellow Engineers on engineering system advancements and best practices.
  • Assist in defining project scope and establishing the necessary technical design specifications to meet objectives within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Achieve delivery, performance, and enhancement targets for each project.
  • Develop theoretical designs and conduct testing.
  • Utilize research, analytical, conceptual, and planning skills, particularly in mathematical modeling and computer-aided design.
  • Engage in discussions and resolve complex issues with manufacturing teams and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the design and construction processes using engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team, production, and support functions on testing requirements for new equipment.
  • Take ownership of the CE process and documentation for the projects undertaken.
  • Monitor and commission systems and equipment.
Qualifications:

  • Degree in BEng Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical and scientific knowledge with the ability to apply this to practical challenges.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Mechanical Sciences.
  • Proficient in Solidworks CAD system and related tools.
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expertise in the technical design, implementation, and commissioning of machine building.

The position entails a 37-hour work week, Monday to Friday. In return, CMD Recruitment offers a competitive salary package along with benefits, including private family healthcare.
