We are looking for a friendly, motivated and organised individual to join our Directorate as an Administrator for Paediatric Services and ADHD. This is a new role will provide a strictly confidential and full administration support to the ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and Paediatric services at Stepping Hill Hospital.

This role will ensure that information is up to date and maintained accurately on the appropriate systems, create and maintain databases and work autonomously to support the smooth running of the service.

This role plays a key part in dealing with enquires from patients and staff members from both internal and external organisations.
- To update and manage the ADHD database ensuring that information is recorded accurately
- To support with the management of the ADHD Outpatient waiting list for new and follow up appointments and highlighting any potential issues to the Directorate Support Manager.
- Ensure that all investigations have been completed and are available in patients electronic notes in time for their clinic appointment
- Actively manage patients through the process of QB (Quantified Behavioral Test) appointments
- Provide direct support/administrative service for the Team, which can involve handling sensitive patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Triage of calls from parents and other professionals - recording and escalating these calls as appropriate.
- Scanning of results and clinical correspondence
- Support the Senior Medical Secretaries with duties as appropriate such as opening post, scanning and typing when required

In addition to the main duties of the job, the postholder will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Ensure that all investigations have been completed and are available in patients electronic notes in time for their clinic appointment
- The monitor and action the ADHD mailbox as appropriate
- Regular communication with patients with regards to their QB (Quantified Behavioral Test) appointments, ensuring appointment letters are sent within a timely manner.
- Actively manage patients who do not attend their QB appointment and seek further advice with regards to rearranging appointments
- Ensure QB feedback questionnaires are tracked and filed appropriately in patients case notes
- Ensure pre-clinic checklists are sent out to patients before their clinic appointments and available for the clinician to review in clinic
- Ensure appropriate systems are in place for tracking of investigations
- Be responsible for data collation for the ADHD service, ensuring that this is recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing with external organisations
- Carry out any other work deemed appropriate to the role in consultation with line manager.
