The Associate Director of Strategy and Partnerships will lead a range of strategic and operational planning activities across the Trust that will ensure timely production of a well-structured, inclusive, plans that incorporate local and national priorities and standards, reflect commissioning intentions, and identify business opportunities at trust and divisional levels.

The Associate Director of Strategy and Partnerships will support the Executive Director of Strategy and Partnerships in the creation and implementation of a strategy for the trust and will ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to enable the implementation of the strategy.

A key element of the role will be to deliver the development of the trust five-year strategy, maintenance, and oversight into the annual operationalisation across people, finance, activity functions, will work with existing teams to develop the commercial aspects of the trust, enhancement and diversification of the Trust’s market share, income, and clinical service base.

Interviews will be held on 15th May 2023.

Strategic and operational planning

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the external market in which the Trust operates, identifying the risks and opportunities inherent within the market and quantifying their potential.

Forward scan the policy and strategic environment, modelling the potential impact and implications for the trust in order to contribute to the identification, prioritisation and development trust plans

Continually provide the Trust with a rigorous assessment of its own business strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, identifying emerging market trends and understanding how the trust exploits them to its optimum advantage.

Strategy Implementation

To drive the implementation of the strategy, through critical appraisal of action required to achieve the key strategic objectives and developing innovative approaches to their attainment.

Build strategic capability by engaging with directorate and divisional leadership teams on the strategic environment and its implications for their services and the Trust.

Build partnerships between SFHFT and other organisations, which are focused upon achieving the key strategic objectives of the Trust and yielding mutual benefit to the participating parties.
