Situated in Zone 5, Sutton is less than 30 minutes by train from central London, and south and south west London are easily accessible by public transport. There are 10 train stations which serve key neighbourhoods within the borough providing direct connections to London Victoria, London Bridge, London Blackfriars and St Pancras International. Sutton also has direct rail connections with Epsom, Dorking, Guildford and Horsham, as well as Wimbledon for an interchange with the London Underground and West Croydon for the London Overground. There’s also an extensive road network which provides close and easy access to the M25 and M23.

**About the Role** 1

The role will support the Climate Action and Emergency Planning team in delivering the waste disposal, têxtile banks and recycling centre contracts, and performance reporting for the team and the directorate. The post holder will support the delivery of environment strategy projects, emergency planning, business continuity and event safety.

Key activities include:

- Collect and analyse information from a variety of sources and prepare reports and analysis to support the delivery of services.
- Prepare monthly performance reports for the directorate management team, and prepare information for committee performance sessions.
- Provide a range of contract and project support for the waste disposal, têxtile bank and recycling centre contracts working with contractors and internal and external partners to improve services for our residents.
