**The Job.**

Our Transport team is growing, and we are looking to bring on an experienced Transport Planner at either Senior, Principal or Associate grades, to join the Bristol or Birmingham team.

**What will you do.**

Our Transport services span the entire project process from planning through to design and delivery, ensuring we achieve the best results. We provide commercially targeted technical solutions for development and the team has a wealth of experience on technicaland policy matters across a wide variety of schemes and land uses, which includes residential, health, education, retail, energy, leisure and employment.

You will work on and be involved in managing a number of exciting, complex transport planning projects and depending on your level, you can lead on the development and delivery of projects with the support of our Directors and Transport team. You will delivermarket leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders’ interests with effective resource management.

**Your areas of knowledge and expertise**:

- An understanding of transport planning policy
- Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans;
- Access strategy work, parking strategies, sustainable transport, S106 agreements, S278 agreements and guidance such as NPPF, DfT Transport Assessment guidelines, Manual for Streets etc;
- Use of the TRICS database;
- Setting up and running PICADY’s and ARCADYS;
- An understanding of LINSIG and can carry this modelling out for different scenarios, understand what they are doing and why;
- The principles of micro-simulation and strategic models/modelling;
- Junction design (priority, roundabout, signals).

The level of knowledge and experience will be considered appropriate with the level of role applied for.
