**Hours**:Full time**:

If so, then look no further than our Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant position. In this role you will be required to work with children of all primary ages, who have Special Education Needs, primarily Autism.

**To thrive as an SEN Teaching Assistant, it’s essential that you have**:

- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN
- Experience working with children with SEN e.g. Autism/ADHD
- Have a natural enthusiasm for working with young children
- The ability to monitor and record a child’s progress
- An understanding of safeguarding children
- A positive, caring, energetic, can-do attitude

**Duties include (but aren’t limited to)**:

- 1:1 support with children on the Autism spectrum
- Supporting the class as a whole
- Assisting the class teacher
- Fostering relationships with parents
- Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times
- Supervising children during activities
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Motivating children and being an excellent role model

Degree holders or applicants holding an NVQ/Level 3 qualification in Childcare are welcome as are Teaching Assistants with experience in school settings.
