Could you be a Sense Social Group Coordinator?
Sense is looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our fantastic Community Team in Manchester as a Social Group Coordinator.
This is a Permanent role, working 22.5 hours per week paying £14.36 per hour.
You will join a fantastic team at our ‘Get Out There’ Manchester Sevice which provides support for children and young people who still live at home with their families.
As a GOT Group Coordinator, you will lead a social programme of support worker and/or volunteer-led activities for children and young people with Complex needs, which may include sensory impairments, additional learning and physical disabilities and/or autism.
Your hours will be flexible across the week, and you will be required to work 5 hours on Saturday mornings. You will need to be available during all school holidays.
You will run a Saturday club at Norbrook Community Centre, Wythenshawe M28 and be able to travel the local area to complete assessments and manage staff as well as the occasional trip to Birmingham for meetings.
Activities include football, dance, gym, sensory play, water play, arts & crafts, gaming, trips out to farms, soft play and much, much more

**Your required skills and experiences**:
You require a full UK license and must be willing/able to drive your own vehicle.
Experience of supporting children with multi-sensory impairments is desirable.
Experience of planning or developing activities for children/ young people is desirable.
Be able to adapt your communication style to meet the needs of those you are working with. Where necessary develop new skills to enable communication through sign and symbols.
Experience of working independently as well as in a team setting.
