We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Suffolk supporting the national safe care division of the business.

The Control Centre provides the hub for operational decision making to ensure the patients receive the most appropriate response from the service. We operate 24/7, 365 days of the year.

The Controller is responsible for planning and controlling the movement of resources efficiently and effectively. Controllers will be responsible for the Specialist Secure Mental Health resources in order to ensure that the requirements of the booked patient journey are met. Controllers will liaise with hospital staff and departments to ensure that good communications are maintained, and patients are moved in a timely manner. The controller will be responsible for taking bookings and controlling the mental health transport nationally.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Dealing with requests for transport from patients’ representative, healthcare professionals and AMPH’s.
- Booking patient transport journeys and making sure they’re recorded accurately in the Cleric operating system.
- Booking and allocating Secure Mental Health journeys ensuring the stringent requirements for this specialist service are met.
- Making decisions on the best use of vehicles and drivers
- Maintain confidentiality in relation to personal data held on patients or colleagues.
- Responsible for the organisation of ambulance resources to provide a cost effective and efficient Patient Transport Service by use of Cleric to meet all contractual KPIs.
- To escalate to the appropriate manager if the service is to be compromised through lack of resources or sickness.
- To work effectively and co-operatively within a team environment and ensure service level is maintained across all contracts.
- Liaise with Road Crews regarding patient journeys and any required updates and input all data into Cleric.
- To ensure mandatory E-Learning is kept up to date.
