**Overview**
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Policy and Reward Officer to join the Policy team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Policy & Reward Manager, you will be the first point of contact for queries into the policy & reward team, logging and quality checking all job evaluation requests that come in

**About the role**
As a Policy & Reward Officer, you will have a number of responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

- Be the first point of contact for queries into the policy & reward team
- Quality check and log all job evaluation requests
- Work with other teams in HR to ensure posts are updated correctly and correct job summaries are used for recruiting in line with job evaluations
- Liaise with the web team to ensure the intranet is updated as and when required
- Maintain local benefits and salary sacrifice scheme administration such as Cycle to Work Scheme

This is a temporary position until March 2024, though there is potential for this to be extended further. The pay rate is £14.18 per hour, and you will be working full time, 37 hours per week (part time hours will be considered). Buckinghamshire Council are working on a hybrid basis where you will work remotely for 3-4 days per week and in the office 1-2 days per week.
The Aylesbury office is conveniently situated in the town centre (HP20 area) with great transport links including a local train station and excellent road connections to the M25, M1, M4 and M40.

**About you**
- Administration and customer service experience is essential
- Previous experience in a HR or Policy team or similar is desired
- Good numerical skills
- Ability to explain things in a way that is easily understood
- Good attention to detail
- Can work under own direction and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good organisational skills, time management and able to prioritise
- Proactive and able to use own initiative when completing tasks/approaching tasks
