**Overview**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Buckinghamshire Council as part of a dynamic team in the role of **Information Governance Case Officer**. We are currently seeking driven, efficient and organised individuals to join the Information Governance (IG) team to support the delivery of information requests.

These are fixed term or secondment roles which offer an excellent opportunity to gain experience in customer service, case management and information governance legislation. It would position the individual well for future opportunities in the service or more widely in the Council.

There are 3 secondment/fixed term contract opportunities between 6-12 months.

**Key Accountabilities**

You will plan and organise your own case work and support your colleagues in the resolution of cases. You will deliver your own cases, ensuring tasks are completed within required standards and timescales, and accommodate changes to priorities.

You will work alongside other Information Governance Case Officers processing Data Protection and Freedom of Information requests, and support the delivery of a professional, compliant and efficient service.

You will use your initiative in identifying and recommending improvements in procedures, processes, and/or systems, support the delivery of those improvements, and support others in their development.

You will engage, influence and advise stakeholders in the pursuit of timely and thorough case management resolution. You will build positive working relationships with services, so they understand their roles and responsibilities, particularly in relation to complying with policy and legislation.

Any-Desk:
As an ‘any-desk’ worker, you’ll need to be connected to our network to access digital folders and resources, but this can either be from home or an office location when required. You will be required to work from the office a couple of times a week, depending on your role and team requirements*.

**About you**:
The successful applicant must have prior experience within a customer service or administrative role, preferably within a process driven environment and be able to work on their own initiative.

You will be faced with a variety of competing priorities that will require an imaginative and often pragmatic approach, combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

The post holder needs to be an enthusiastic individual with an interest in information governance, who’s comfortable with questioning/challenging the status-quo and sometimes stepping outside of their comfort zone.

As an ‘any-desk’ worker you’ll take advantage of our hybrid working environment, being able to access our network to process cases, access digital folders and other collaboration tools from home or our office location. The team works from the Walton Street office in Aylesbury for two set days each week.

There are 3 roles available. Interviews will be held either in person or via MS TEAMS
