Enfield, United Kingdom Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust Full time

We are looking for a person who is motivated to help support a new initiative of looking at new ways of providing Musculoskeletal services.

This person will be offered a unique opportunity to work with us to continue to develop the Enfield Musculoskeletal community Health Hub based in Enfield (N9 7HD). We have an excellent Administration Team which you could be a part of. This team provides a crucial support for our high-performing clinical team which consists of physiotherapists, osteopaths, dietitians, occupational therapists and psychology input.

This project is being delivered through a clinical partnership between the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation trust.

Limited travel may be required to other Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Royal Free London Hospital sites.

You will be providing administrative support to various healthcare professionals and volunteers working within the Enfield Musculoskeletal community Health Hub. We are looking for someone who is keen to engage with members of the public, who is really well organised and motivated to take responsibility for the administrative duties which aid the smooth running of a busy out-patient service. Duties will include greeting people as they arrive, entering patient details onto data systems, filing, scanning, making and booking appointments and liaising with service users and staff. You will be supported by the wider team and provided with full training and regular supervision.

Applicants should have good written and spoken English, enjoy working productively within a team and be able to demonstrate and use their own initiative. Sound administration/clerical skills and previous NHS experience would be desirable.

The Musculoskeletal Hub in Enfield is a proof-of-concept initiative that is being delivered through the clinical partnership between The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust and the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. This also includes wider collaboration with the Enfield Integrated Care Partnership and North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust.

The aim of this initiative is to improve the health outcomes for patients with musculoskeletal conditions whilst addressing health inequalities and equity of access. The new hub will bring the best of primary, secondary and tertiary care to the high street and will create new and innovative pathways to support the delivery of high-quality care. The service will be underpinned with a focus on research and quality improvement, which will provide clinicians with opportunities to understand their impact and make continual improvements to the services delivered.

The post-holder will work with other members of the Therapies Administration Team to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the department.

As the first point of contact for patients and other visitors to the department, the post-holder will provide a courteous and professional patient centred reception service, and help ensure that all service users have a positive experience of the services we provide.

This is a multi-skilled role and the post holder will be expected to rotate on a regular basis between back office and front of house duties.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues within the department and Trust to ensure that all patients will be managed appropriately.

The post holder will be required to liaise with clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the effective and efficient management of waiting lists and appointment booking systems.
