The Health Academy provides training and education to staff, external clients and partner organisations on behalf of Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last 3 years this service has grown exponentially and now The Health Academy are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator.

You will play a key role in the promotion of the Trust’s education provision to help position The Health Academy as a leading education provider across the healthcare sector.

The key to this role will be identifying PR opportunities, leading on the production of educational news content, maintaining and developing the Health Academy’s social media presence on existing platforms. You will also be exploring new channels and having responsibility for the maintenance and development of The Health Academy’s website and intranet platforms.

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is continually enhancing its the promotion of its services and is sharpening its focus on Education and Training to support quality driven performance.

The Health Academy consists of over 120 staff members spanning over 6 different teams across both hospital sites (Chorley and Preston).

If you want to play a key role in positively driving the reputational status of our work this will be an exciting opportunity for you.
- Conduct regular PR and advertising campaigns
- Develop costed plan for the allocation of budget to specific marketing campaigns
- Develop offline marketing collateral such as course leaflets, posters, flyers for internal and external distribution
- Cover education and training events events across a full-academic calendar, working flexibily to cover events outside of core hours
- Provide advice to support the department’s business plan and marketing strategy
- Produce and maintain a bank of promotional case studies
- You will, at times, be required to design literature in line with brand guidelines using the latest Adobe products
- Produce informative and engaging content for use across the local, regional and national press
- Ensure The Health Academy is positively promoted internally across the Trust
- Maintain and develop The Health Academy’s website and staff intranet
- Maintain and develop The Health Academy’s social media presence
- Liaise with cross-departmental teams to ensure website information is up-to-date and accurate
- Maintain The Health Academy’s Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
- Provide regular updates and metrics through the use of Google Analytics and other intelligence platforms
