**The Role**:
**What you will do**:
You will have high profile and impact, actively leading and holding oversight of our external accreditation work ensuring effective assessment of various provisions to evaluate whether they meet a ‘GTC Scotland quality mark’. Working in close collaboration with Teaching Standards Education Officers you will embed our public policies and ensure they are implemented so that trust in Scotland’s teaching profession and GTC Scotland is maintained and enhanced.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- You are a qualified teacher (SCQF level 9), fully registered with GTC Scotland
- You hold a post-graduate qualification in education (minimum SCQF level 11)
- You have deep evidenced understanding of Scottish education and the impact on GTC Scotland registrants, partners and the public, as well as a deep understanding of accreditation processes in support of a profession’s identity and value
- You have evidenced leadership experience in stakeholder engagement and educational partnership working
- Successful experience of working within a Higher Education Institute delivering teaching education is desirable
- You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and high quality written and analytical skills

**Working Hours / Pattern**:
We see this role being based on full time working hours of 35 hours per week, however we would still like to hear from you if you are interested in the role but have alternative needs in relation to working hours or pattern.
