To assist the Payroll manager in maintaining an efficient and accurate payroll function for a busy property company. Processing 10 payrolls with 1000 and responding to queries as and when required.

Payroll Assistant duties
- As the Payroll Assistant you will be primarily responsible for assisting with the administration and processing of payrolls
- Assisting in the processing of New starters, Leavers and amendments
- To have a basic understanding of PAYE/NIC and statutory payroll legislation
- Issuing P45's
- Processing payroll calculations including manual calculations when required
- Keeping up-to-date with current government legislation
- Processing holiday, sick maternity and paternity leave payments
- Deal with queries from region/branch/senior management
- Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines
- To have a good knowledge of pensions schemes and auto enrolment
- Input all information received from branches and upload into payroll

Additional duties
- Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional performance.
- Promote equal opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Making sure that professional skills are regularly updated through participation in training and development activities.
- Ensure all policies are implemented within the remit of this post.

Essential experience
- Experience of working in a Payroll Assistant capacity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Good working knowledge of Cascade
- Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities and diversity
- Demonstrable experience of administrative systems and procedures
