HertsOne GP Federation are seeking to appoint to recruit an experienced and confident Referrals Administrator to work within their operational team.

Based working from home (although attendance in the office for meetings will be required) you will be responsible for ensuring that all referrals received into the leg ulcer service are booked within the required timeframe, manage clinic rotas, and provide support to the Leg Ulcer Service lead.

You will be responsible for planning clinic rotas, ensuring sufficient cover in place, making adjustments when needed if a clinician is not available.

You will use EMIS as the main IT system, full training will be provided.

The role is to ensure all referrals into the leg ulcer service are registered on Emis in a timely manner, patients contacted and booked in the timeframe indicated by triage. You will be responsible for flagging any capacity issues to the service manager, prioritise referrals, ensure all rotas are set up and accurately maintained.

The post holder must respect the confidentiality of the work undertaken, use initiative in managing deadlines and priorities, and be able to maintain a flexible approach to working with varied work programmes as directed.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Responsibility for all referrals into the service, prioritise referrals and ensure all referral documents are kept accurate.
- You will be responsible for calling patients and booking them in, considering any reasonable adjustments that may be required and ensure this is communicated to the service lead and clinicians to ensure appropriate response.
- Provide administration support to the leg ulcer clinicians
- Set up sessions on EMIS and other systems as directed
- Provide assistance to the Service lead as directed
- Provide AL cover for the Service Lead
- All ad hoc admin requests

Excellent communication skills (particularly confident telephone manner)

Excellent IT skills (knowledge of Emis clinical system would be beneficial).

Organised and able to follow a process

Team player but also able to work on own initiative

Patience and ability to liaise with clinicians

Compassionate and considerate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

**Salary**: £27,055.00 per year
