**The Role** The ITSM Developer reports to the Head of IT Operations and is responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the ServiceNow ITSM. Working closely with the Head of MS Operations and their team, the administrator willidentify, develop, and deploy new business processes. This role is a technical role forming part of the IT Operations Team.

**What you will be doing?**

**Your main responsibilities will include;**
- Work closely with the project team to understand and develop the technical solution as detailed in user stories
- Adhere to company delivery processes and attend meetings where required
- Act in a professional manner at all times and escalate to senior management when necessary
- Understand the large-scale thinking and approach needed for success of the project
- Serve as primary system administrator for the ServiceNow tenant
- Focus the organisation’s use of data towards what best serves the mission
- Handle all basic administrative functions including user maintenance, modification of page layouts, generation of reports and dashboards, creation of new fields and other routine tasks
- Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and implement these changes as appropriate
- Automate processes using ServiceNow tools and integrations
- Manage ServiceNow integrations with assistance from partner
- Train champion users to assist in growing the ServiceNow skill set across the organisation
- Document customisations made in ServiceNow
- Plan for upgrades, seasonal releases, and long-term projects
- Oversee ServiceNow Development, researching opportunities to improve efficiency
- Manage delivery of ServiceNow projects from conception to completion including communication and ensuring update and maintenance

**What is Needed?**
- Experience working with ITIL-aligned service desks
- Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
- Excellent governance over system change control
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
- Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organisation
- Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts
- Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on ServiceNow and other integrated systems

**Desired**
- Having worked for a Managed Service Provider
- A documented history of successful project completion
- A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex processes
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow best practices and functionality preferred
- Minimum two years of experience as a ServiceNow administrator preferred
- Multiple Tenant experience
- Experience with integration with external systems
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
