**Role Overview**
**TECHNICAL ARCHITECT - EndPoint Protection (DV Cleared)**
The Senior Technical Architect is to be responsible for driving the architectural direction of all tasks allocated to them by the Principal Solutions Architect / Solution Owner throughout the delivery lifecycle of the task.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for all aspects of Endpoint Protection related designs and deployments across the projects enterprise systems
- Ensure EndPoint security tools are maintained and updated (patched) in accordance with the project patching policy throughout the contractual period
- Author documentation (i.e. low-level designs, procedure and work instructions) and review/update in line with professional business needs and to meet account contractual requirements
- Work in a disciplined and structured manner
- Provided advice and guidance as may be appropriate to the project leadership team
- Liaise with MoD departments and external suppliers in order to resolve issues as may be required in relation to the assigned project
- Update and administration of any changes to Configuration Items (CI)
- Attend team and Client facing meetings as required
- Ability to develop and maintain Client and third party relationships as may be required
- Proactive problem solving and management
- Manage all issues through the proper escalation channels
- Provide support to the design and build of Microsoft Windows-based Servers using the Microsoft suite of deployment tools

**Essential
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current Microsoft Window Server and Desktop Operating systems, including but not limited to Window Server 2019 and Window 10 / 11.
- The ability to Author design and process documents related to Endpoint Protestation
- Strong communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- A willingness to learn new skills as may required
- Strong Client-facing skills, focused upon meeting Client requirements
- Complex service delivery experience, preferably in a Multi-Vendor environment
- Knowledge and experience with ITSM/ITIL V3 Reference model
- Must possess an understanding of User Management within Microsoft Windows environments
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) / AD Federation services (ADFS) and AD group policy management
- UK Passport holder
- The role requires HMG Security Clearance
**Desirable**
- knowledge of VMware vSphere and associated technologies
- knowledge of automated virtual server deployments
- Experience of Microsoft EndPoint Configuration Manager (MECM); including building and deploying MECM and MDT packages using task sequences
- Expert knowledge of Enterprise Endpoint Security products such as Application & Device Control; Specifically Ivanti and AppLocker
- A working knowledge of Network security products such as Diodes, firewall appliances, Denial of Service (DoS) products & procedures, Network Intrusion Prevention Systems (NIPS) and Network Intrusion Detection (NID)
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Bitlocker and Bitlocker Network Unlock.7
- Familiarity with MOD and their design guidence and policies to align delivery with MOD Joint Service Publications (JSP) 440, 604, including Joining Rules.
