Associate Director Structural Engineer - Hemel Hempstead | £65,000 - £75,000
Associate Director Structural Engineer looking for a new challenge, and to work on a wide range of projects? Or Associate Structural Engineer hoping to take the next steps in your career within Structural Engineering?
We are actively recruiting for a multi-discipline property and construction firm, that offers advice throughout all stages of a project. They look to bring creativity to every job no matter the size, with the goal of adding value at every stage. Working onlarge and small-scale projects across the UK in multiple different sectors, such as commercial, R&D, energy and residential will make the job very exciting, with no two projects being the same.
The successful Structural Engineer will be co-leading a team of engineers and technicians in Hemel Hempstead, collaborating with staff from the firms other offices when need be. There is a strong passion for personal and professional development, with a supportiveteam culture and a desire to help each other achieve.
There are many responsibilities within this role, including leading project teams, supervising & training staff, management of the financial & technical elements within a project, assessing environmental and sustainability aspects of a project, and liaisingwith architects, clients, sub-contractors, and other professionals. The successful Associate Director Structural Engineer must meet the following requirements:

- BEng/MEng Civil or Structural Engineering degree
- Chartered Structural Engineer
- Active client portfolio
- At least 7 years of experience in structural engineering design
- To have experience preparing structural designs for all conventional materials
- Be able to take a global view on structural design, identifying any issues and their potential solutions, whilst liaising with the clients.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to lead projects and work collaboratively.
- Be able to prepare schematic structural designs based on basic architectural layouts.
- Have a commitment to technical excellence.

Additionally, the successful Associate Director Structural Engineer will have the option of hybrid working. This means you can work from home and visit the office as and when it is necessary to do so, or alternatively, you can work from the office if you'dprefer.
