Registry Services are seeking a Deputy Head of Student Support Operations to play a key role in the continual development of our services. This new post will support the leadership and development of four key student facing services, including Fees and Student Support, Scholarships and Student Funding, Extensions and Special Circumstances, and the Student Immigration Service.

**The Opportunity**:
The post-holder will have operational oversight and leadership of services within Student Support Operations with high volume transactions and the potential to positively influence the student and staff experience. This role will be responsible the day to day running of the services ensuring resourcing, training and compliance to regulatory frameworks working alongside the Head of Student Support Operations aligning with the wider department, strategic priorities, and the University Strategy 2030.

A key focus of this role will be continuous development of our systems and processes that underpin each of the services to ensure we can offer effective and efficient services that allows for positive student engagement and enhanced reporting for management and audit purposes. The post-holder will help develop our services for the future, support the embedding of policy and system changes while interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A good honours degree or equivalent qualifications/experience demonstrating key competencies required through progressively more complex and demanding roles.
- Experience of successful leadership at an appropriate level including management of staff and resources in higher education.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with evidence of the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
- Experience of managing and implementing change.
