Deputy Head of Procurement Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Procurement to join our Procurement Team at NHS Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading the development and delivery of commercial strategies and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and delivery of commercial strategies and contracts
  • Take lead responsibility for critical elements of the delivery of NHS Lothians Procurement Strategy
  • Provide mentoring, advice, and guidance on best strategic and tactical options within the prevailing legislative framework
  • Work closely with NHS Lothians Associate Director of Procurement to contribute to leading continuous improvement and value for the Board
Requirements:
  • High level of interpersonal, strategic, and technical skills
  • Demonstrable leadership style and ability to earn the confidence and respect necessary to bring about added value to procurement strategies/practices
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to operate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the Board
  • Collaborative and collegiate working at a national and regional levels with senior NHS Scotland colleagues
