this role is primarily based in the practices "call and recall team". You will work closely within a small team and with your aligned clinicians to manage all aspects of our patients annual health planning needs as well as various administration tasks around this.

**Job description**

You should be meticulously organised, able to work quickly and methodically through your workload and love to solve problems.

The aim of this role is to proactively contact patients to organise their care, providing high quality interventions at the right times and in turn reduce the amount of unplanned contacts with the practice.

You will be working towards national and local heath targets and KPIs. The practice is bench marked by its outcomes and success in these areas by our regulators and contact holders.

Past experience working as an administrator, Medical PA or similar role in a GP practice would be advantageous, especially for those who have experience working towards national Targets and KPIs such as QOF, IIF & LCS.

A 2 week initial induction followed by ongoing support is provided for all new starters.

We are flexible in our recruitment and happy to hear from people who want to work between 25 and 25 hours a week. Standard working patterns are 5 day weeks, between the hours of 08:00 -18:30 Monday to Friday although if working part time we can negotiate a working patter accordingly.

This role requires attendance at the practice in person. This is not a hybrid or work from home vacancy.

Friday 08:00 - 16:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch)

As a GP Practice Assistant your role may vary depending on the needs of the business. All team members are are employed as "Practice Assistant / care-coordinators" and we work in three main departments, Front of house, Administration and Call and Recall. Although your core roles will be in Call and Recall you may be called on to assist in the front of house or Administrative departments should the need arise, and with appropriate training.

You will need to work in an organised way and be as efficient as possible with regards to the practice resources to provide excellent patient centered care while also achieving NHS targets outcomes.

Dealing with the public is never an easy job, especially at the moment when the NHS is under such intense pressure. This role has its unique challenges. **Salary**: £12.73 per hour while in probationary period, there after pay rises to £13.30ph upon successful completion of probation.

**Example**: post probation salary at 35 hours a week is equivalent to an annual salary of £23,842 and at 25 hours a week is £17,290

- Can work occasional Saturdays with notice provided if required by the practice. (Approximately 2 or 3 a year)
- Can attend a face-to-face interview at the practice if invited to do so within 1 week of the closing date of this job advert, if not sooner.

Essential Skills:

- good verbal and written communication skills
- good level of Microsoft excel or the ability to quickly pick up the skill with training
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients and other stake holders
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work activities

Desirable skills:

- Previous experience working with targets in an NHS setting such as QOF Call and recall or similar

Proficient in the use of Emis Web (or similar NHS patient record software)

Proven track record in working towards targets and KPI's
