We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to support the Accounts Office Manager and Chief Financial Officer to deliver Payroll / Accounts Administration activities across the organisation, with additional support for 2 other sites in the UK. This role is working for a business which is based in Rainford, St. Helens.

About the job
- Processing the weekly and monthly salaries through the Sage Payroll system (initially 166 employees, rising with expansion of the business)
- Providing accounts / payroll support to the Accounting Department
- Maintaining accurate accounting systems and records
- Customer invoicing
- Investigating and processing invoice queries _(sales & purchases)_
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Month end duties _(e.g., Accruals and prepayments)_
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of financial documents such as PODs and bank statements
- Verifying expense claims, credit card statements and bank deposits
- Payroll cover
- Ad hoc reporting and queries
- General administrative duties
- Additional duties as required

**Individual Requirements**:

- 1 years Accounts Administration experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- 1 years Payroll processing experience, ideally using Sage Payroll
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
