We have an exciting new opportunity to join our talented People team as a Payroll & HR apprentice. This role will allow you to expand your knowledge and provide an amazing foundation for a career in payroll as you earn your Level 3 Payroll Apprenticeship.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
**Payroll**
- Collate all bonus information on a monthly basis and prepare for uploading into our payroll system.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure our payroll system is kept up to date with employee information, bank details, address, pay rate etc.
- Ensure all benefit information is up to date on our payroll system such as cycle to work, loans, employee car ownership scheme.
- Prepare and send out information to team members relating to their bonus.
- Gather information from our HR systems such as absence and overtime data to upload into the payroll system.
- Ensure the timely updates of payroll to send to our outsourced payroll provider for processing each month.
- Provide information to third party suppliers following payday such as Save as You Earn, Give as You Earn, Restricted Share Awards and pension.
**HR Administration**
- Support with HR Administration tasks such as preparing contracts and sending out new starter packs.
- Support with ensuring all new starters have access to their required portals including expenses, reward platforms & the L&D e-learning portal.
- Assist with queries from employees relating to their benefits and pay.
- Input all new starter information onto the HR system and maintain electronic HR files.
- Request and administer required background checks on new employees.
- Make any changes to employment on the HR system and send out letters confirming any changes to individual’s employment such job title, pay and working hours.
- Send out welcome cards to new starters.
- Send out new baby gifts and cards when team members are celebrating a new birth.
- Prepare and send references as and when required.
- Assist with processing leavers on the system and send out leaver letters.
- Gain a good understanding of the HR system and run ad hoc reports when requested.
