Gi Group commercial representing a local manufacturer of hygiene materials, based in Sinfin DE24 9GG, to recruit an HR Administrator to join their busy and fast growing team.
In summary we are looking for someone, to co-ordinate and provide HR administrative support to assist with the daily operations of the Human Resources department, from HRAs to HR Business Partners, reporting into the HR Business Partner.
The right personality would be someone from a manufacturing background who understands the diversity and determination required for output of product. While drawing from HR and Personnel experience, to maintain professional and personable standards and to maximise team efficiency and confidence in each other.
The role will involve, but not limited to
- Prepare offer letters and terms and conditions of employment
- Administer pre-employment checks and ensure completion.
- Prepare Induction Packs. Co-ordinate and organise Induction plan.
- Support onboarding process by ensuring that mandatory training is completed and probationary process has been documented.
- Maintain accuracy of training database and drive compliance.
- Coordinate and monitor all training requests and make all logístical arrangements for the courses.
- Responsible for the maintenance of employee files and employee records.
- Administer employee changes; leavers, promotions, transfers, etc.
- Assist the HR team with any employee relations hearings as and when required, including producing packs and circulating in plenty of time and taking accurate minutes
- Administer Occupational Health bookings for routine health surveillance/screening appointments.
- Manage the data input of any changes to the monthly Payroll in line with the cut-off dates.
- Assist HR team in relevant project work as and when required.
- Raise Purchase Orders and process invoices.
- Maintain adequate stationery levels for the site.
- Provide administrative support in promoting HR key initiatives e.g. EAP service, fundraising activities, employee engagement activities, etc.
- Maintain the accuracy of the time clocking in system.
- Serve employees in the on-site factory shop.
- Ensuring all data on employee records are up-to-date.
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail for the site.
- General administrative duties such as copying, filing, shredding, etc.
- To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
Systems experience would be advantageous to have worked with
- SAP Success Factors
- Workday
- SAP for POs and Invoices
- Crown T&A systems
In order to deliver an effective result the right person should have
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure without compromising on deliverables
- Consistency in meeting deadlines
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft; Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Strong attention to detail
In reward the remuneration and terms for this contract role are
- £12.00 per hour for warranted experience
- Working 36.75 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 08.30-16:30 and Fri 08:30-15:45) office based - not hybrid working
- Canteen on site
- Potential for permanent contract - if desired (where benefits are plentiful)
