The safeguarding service is an exceptional service to work for. We are a team of 23 providing specialist advice and operational support to staff across the mental health, community services and specialist services directorates within Oxford Health. We work collaboratively with partners in multi-agency boards and partnerships. The work is varied and rewarding with the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children and vulnerable adults.

You will have the opportunity to further develop your areas of expertise and be supported to progress your career with us. What we need from you Relevant level of safeguarding experience and professional qualification. You will have practical experience working with children, young people, vulnerable adults and their families.

You will have experience dealing with complex safeguarding situations. You will understand the relevant frameworks and processes that underpin good safeguarding practice. Be compassionate, caring and creative with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent communication skills verbal and written.

You must be able to explain complex areas of law and practice to a wide range of audiences, and offer advice and guidance to a range of professionals. Ability to work collaboratively across directorates and across the wider system partnership You will be able to work collaboratively with teams across all directorates and with partners across the wider system. You will promote excellent safeguarding practice throughout the work that you do. All new starters have a 6 month probationary period.
