Here at GXO we are seeking a meticulous and results driven professional to lead and manage the end-to-end payroll process for our UK & Ireland colleagues. With overall responsibility for our complex payroll, you will ensure pay compliance and accuracy, partner with business leaders to identify value-adding end-to-end improvements to the pay process along with leading and coaching your team.

Based out of our central offices in Northampton and reporting to the Payroll Director for the UK & Ireland, your initial focus will be on providing a solution of historical issues, stabilisation, compliance skills enhancement and maintenance of pay accuracy - we are looking for someone to hit the ground running - is this you?

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£95,000 per annum**, dependant of skills and experience along with a competitive car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Lead, co-ordinate and drive the end-to-end BAU payroll operatois for the UK & Ireland_ _and ensure statutory payroll compliance. Providing end of year reconciliations, end of month reporting, forecasting, overpayment accruals
- Manage the relationship with all third-party providers - including ADP the current GXO payroll provider and Ireland based providers
- Manage our payroll teams (operational and analytical), ensuring they have the tools, training and development needed to carry out their roles and grow with the business
- Constantly challenge the status quo, identifying opportunities and adopting new ways of working to support continuous improvement

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Strong technical “hands in system” payroll knowledge
- A strong and proven track record of managing a large complex payroll
- The ability to engage directly with sites, act as an influencer and build solid relationships with multiple levels of stakeholder both internal and external
- Be able to manage ambiguity and provide clear direction during times of change
- CIPP certification and experience of ADP or SuccessFactors - these are all preferred but not essential
