**About Our Client**:
This particular trust is made up of a network of schools and academies spanning across the North West. This is a very exciting role for someone who has relevant experience that could be transferred and utilised to make this role their own,

The responsibilities of the community engagement worker:

- Use a variety of methods to listen and engage with all members of the community.
- Actively encourage participation.
- Work with the family support team to support parents and families in setting and working towards family goals and Trust/school goals.
- Use local knowledge to help build a picture of the community, mapping the key stakeholders, and facilitating connections between them.
- Maintain a calendar of outreach activities including community events, workshops and other strands of community communication for LLT schools.
- Prepare, agree and manage an annual budget for community activities.
- Work alongside and with collaborative partners e.g. Primary Schools, HE establishments, community partners, NHS, Police, Charities etc.
- Bridge the gap between home and school by engaging families in joint activities.
- Work alongside the careers team with employers on corporate social responsibility.
- Work alongside the Primary school partners devising and co-ordinating joint school events.
- Lead special events e.g. fund raising activities, school community events.
- Prepare accurate records and reports as required on the community engagement plan or as required.
- Use a variety of methods to capture and share learning including self-reflection, reports, blogs, community press stories, case studies etc.
- Co-ordinate digital content relating to community engagement that fully promotes partnerships and engages the community.
- Represent the Trust and schools in local community groups and networks.
- Contribute to revenue generation through related bidding as appropriate.
- Undertake other such duties that may from time to time be reasonably assigned by the wider team

**The Successful Applicant**:

- 5 GCSE's at grade C or above
- Experience of working alongside local communities and of managing community groups or projects, on a paid or voluntary basis
- Understand the use of action learning approaches to gather data and share learning
- Strong knowledge of social media and other basic platforms
- Ability to build and maintain public relations
- Empathy and understanding
- Demonstrate the ability to form positive working relationships with a range of individuals and groups
- Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have that ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent listening and facilitation skills
- Detail orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
- Excellent time management skills
- Full driving licence and access to a car
- A willingness to train and develop in the role
