**Pupil Premium and Safeguarding (Year 7-11)**

Grade F Point 6-7 (£23,893 - £24,294)

37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

£21,064 - £21,418 (actual salary)

We are looking for an Attendance Officer to work with Key Stage Pastoral Leaders to support the Assistant Headteacher with all aspects of attendance and other administration.

**Key Responsibilities**

To manage the operational aspects of the attendance system including software (Go4Schools) and in-school processes
- To enter all notified absences (including lates), using the appropriate absence code, into the school’s MIS system
- To liaise with Pastoral Teams regarding those students in the Pupil Premium and vulnerable cohort who are absent from school
- Liaise with Pastoral Teams, Safeguarding Team and Inclusion regarding student absence within the cohort and identify support strategies to improve attendance.
- To work with students within this group to provide support and intervention to improve attendance
- working towards parity between Pupil Premium and Vulnerable cohorts and the rest of the cohort.
- To follow school attendance procedures and send out appropriate attendance letters
- To form positive relationships with the parents of the identified cohort, to support attendance, and facilitate meetings and phone calls when concerns arise
- To contact Alternative Providers daily for students’ attendance and update relevant Pastoral Team
- To ensure attendance marks (paper registers) are entered onto SIMS for teaching groups unable to be registered electronically
- To collate, maintain and update the attendance data weekly of students in the identified group on the appropriate platform.
- To analyse and share with SLT weekly reports for Pupil premium student absence to enable follow up of any unexplained absences or patterns of absence
- To make necessary referrals to the Education Inclusion Partnership Team.
