Payroll Support Lead

**Overview**

This role is predominately homebased with the need to travel to meetings approximately once a month.

**How will you contribute?**
- Triage and prioritisation of all payroll incidents
- Respond and resolve all payroll Incidents raised.
- Managing related incidents as problems.
- Monitoring all integrations with Oracle Payroll and raising incidents with IT Support.
- Allocating incidents to identified Support Consultants.
- Carrying out root cause analysis for all incidents.
- Raising required changes for review and implementation following RCA.
- The collation and publishing of all Payroll Support KPI’s.
- Liaises with the people/management teams when something goes wrong with payroll due to a process or system issues, provides a recovery plan and lesson learnt document for every case.
- Supports T & A and payroll related projects as and when required.
- Produces and supplies adhoc summary reporting and statistical information on payroll data.
- From time to time you may be asked to complete activities and duties outside of this job description that aid the smooth running of the wider People team and Wincanton.

**What will you bring?**
- Experience with the Oracle cloud system and Payroll
- Experience in a similar role and understands the challenges on inhouse payroll
- Experience and system knowledge of a time and attendance system, such as Kronos dimensions
- Future thinking with and curious and open mind
- High degrees of initiative, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
- Able to work at pace and be pragmatic
- Great Problem Solver
- Ability to take a logical and practical approach
- Clear customer focus, providing effective customer service
- Concern for deadline and quality requirements
- Influencing skills and engagement with differing client groups
- Ability to multitask, work to deadlines, prioritise under pressure

- Must have an extensive Payroll & Benefits background
- Must be able to show process improvements and be confident in taking the lead on projects
- Excellent IT skills, Microsoft office

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
