As a Barclays Payroll Service Delivery Lead for Europe and Middle East, you will manage a team and be accountable for coordinating and managing service delivery activity for all countries across Europe and the Middle East. In your role, you will inspire the team and strive to always ensure we provide a best-in-class Payroll service that meets the needs of our c.3,000 EME-based colleagues by being accurate, timely, compliant, and resilient.

**What will you be doing?**
- Leading the team of EME payroll professionals, supporting their career development and well-being, and ensuring robust succession plans are in place for all roles (including your own)
- Delivering the monthly EME Payroll on-time, accurately and in compliance with all relevant requirements, including controls, Barclays policies, SLAs, regulations, and legislation
- Ensuring timely resolution of escalated and/or complex issues, requests for exceptions to standard processes and service delivery issues, and that any Risk Events or Issues are re-ported
- Owning and leading implementation of projects and change affecting the EME Payroll team, processes, and systems, ensuring no/ mínimal disruption to service
- Supporting achievement of the Global Payroll strategy, by partnering with the Service Strategy and Transformation Team to ensure any changes to processes and systems are managed
- Acting as the senior engagement point from EME Payroll into the Reward and Compensa-tion team, Finance, Group Tax, Chief Controls Office, and Audit
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement in service delivery, efficiencies and colleague experience, through new systems and processes

**What we’re looking for**:

- Background in payroll, not necessarily an SME, but an understanding of how it works and the Control Environment that sits around it
- Excellent leadership skills, within a large or complex organisation
- Previous vendor management experience
- Good knoweldge of change/transformation

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Good stakeholder management skills
- Broader HR Management experience
- Experience of tools and technology related to Payroll and HR
- Recognised Payroll professional qualifications (e.g., CIPP in the UK, or equivalent)

**Where will you be working?**

Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
