Swansea Council's Cultural Services are seeking an Voluntary Sector Support Office to support the projects and programmes of the Culture and Tourism Anchor of the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund. This post involves recruiting and training volunteers to increase community leadership for self-management; fundraising; governance and access/use of Council owned parks/open spaces, sports pitches, changing rooms, libraries, community centres and heritage facilities. Facilitating longer term growth and future shared ownership and asset transfer.

**Further information**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Voluntary Sector Support Officer with excellent interpersonal skills who can relate to all levels of staff, senior management, local ward members and community members. You must have experience of working with volunteers and the planning, delivering and evaluating of community activity programmes and projects.

You will be working with the Community Development Team to assist on the development, implementation and evaluation of a volunteer programme which generates opportunities relating to current operational and programme aspirations across communities in Swansea.

Being a valuable member of the team you will help to ensure that they remain vibrant, inclusive and responsive to the needs of their community and champion sustainable approaches to facilitate longer term growth and future shared ownership and asset transfer

This is a new role, funded by the UK Govt. Shared Prosperity Fund and will see you work in partnership with a variety of agencies including the voluntary sector.
