**Summary**:
Responsible for staff who deliver/are responsible for the youth and play element of NYCI.

**Start Date**:
**Rate of Pay**:£ 29,000-32,000 depending on experience

**Hours**:Full Time, Monday - Friday 35 hours

**Location**:Nertherley

**Temp or Perm**:Permanent

**Qualifications**:

- Level 5 or degree equivalent /professional qualification in Youth Work or related field (E)
- Evidence of continuing professional development with special focus upon safeguarding children and young people(E).

**Responsibilities**:

- To co-ordinate and deliver monthly activity plans to achieve the aims of NYCI operational plan National Youth association requirements.
- To co-ordinate and implement age appropriate exciting, inspiring, and challenging activities for the childcare element of NYCI with the contribution of the children/young people
- To demonstrate being a positive role model both internally within the organisation and externally within the community/City.
- To promote and support volunteers from the local community.
- To record all data as required. E.g., attendance, registrations and to undertake the relevant administrative tasks required such as filing, photocopying, typing reports.

**Knowledge and understanding**
- Knowledge of current legislation/regulations governing Health and Safety, Equality, Safeguarding, Prevent and Confidentiality / Data Protection (E).
- Knowledge of national strategy impacting youth, play, crime, anti-social behaviour (E).
- Knowledge of Education, Training, Culture, Sports and Positive Recreation opportunities available to children and young people (E).
- Knowledge of Liverpool City Plan, Belle Vale Ward, and the needs of the Netherley Community (D).
- Excellent knowledge of both Static and Detached Youth Provision (E).
- Excellent knowledge of health (including mental health, sexual health), nutrition, substance misuse and challenging offending behaviour (knife crime, County Lines etc) (E).
- A demonstrable understanding of, and a personal commitment to, the charitable purpose, vision, and values.
- An understanding of, and a personal commitment to, the charity /not for profit sector.
- A demonstrable commitment to improving the quality of life for families in deprived communities.
- A commitment to the advancement of quality child / young person development, education, play and positive diversionary activity as a vehicle for inclusion, change and social mobility.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuing improvement of self and others through professional development and reflective practice.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, reducing inequalities in health and education and evidence of “community empathy”.
