TEC Partners have an exciting opportunity in a Cambridge-based diagnostics start-up that is working to revolutionise point-of-care diagnostics. Their technology addresses the challenges in diagnostics of various infectious diseases, making PCR testing faster,more accurate, and accessible to any clinician or healthcare professional as a small bench-top instrument.

The company is looking for a **Reagent Production Scientist**to join their biology team. This role will focus on the development, quality control, production, and stable supply of molecular reagents used for the development of instrument consumables.

The role will also be an important part of the product launch process and will involve close collaboration with quality team members, ensuring correct production of quality, specifications, tracking, stock, and other documentation.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Molecular Biology or closely related discipline, with additional experience working in industry/commercial laboratory setting
- Experience working in production and/or quality control of reagents
- Knowledge and experience of quality management systems (QMS) and setting up quality procedures
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
- Ability to provide ideas for the production improvements
- Excellent team-working and communication skills; IT and organisational skills
- IVD industry experience would be highly advantageous
- Lyophilization/freeze drying experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge or experience working under ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 or GMP standards
- Controlled clean-room environment experience would be advantageous
