A great opportunity to work for with an amazing team, our client aUniversity Student Accommodation provider are currently looking for **Out of Hours Residence Facilities Manager** to cover there sites across South East London to start asap.

**What is the Purpose of the Out of Hours Residence Facilities Manager**:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that all halls of residence are safe and secure environments out of hours between 8:00PM and 8:00AM, Mon - Fri, and 24-hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Amongst other things, this requires frequent visits to inspect hallenvironments, decision making on key issues, assisting the Senior Out of Hours Residence Manager and supporting colleagues who work rotational shift patterns. The appointee will help to maintain the health, safety, welfare and wellbeing of students and colleaguesout of hours, simultaneously providing reactive support in emergencies effecting people and buildings escalating as appropriate.

**Key responsibilities of the Out of Hours Residence Facilities Manager**:

- Assist the Senior out of Hours Residence Manager with the delivery of the Out Of Hours service and support the management or provision of Operational Services through the Resident Assistants, Resident Wardens, the Social Programme, Social Representativesand other colleagues.
- Act as a main point of contact for Accommodation Services during Out of Hours (including weekends and Bank Holidays)to all staff members.
- Lead, manage and develop Resident Wardens and/or other staff members through coaching and training.
- To monitor the performance of the accommodation providers in addressing any general service faults (heating, water, electricity, etc supply) within specified response times set out in Service Level Agreements, recording and reporting as appropriate ensuringthat the Senior Out of Hours Residence Manager and the Residential Operations Manager are kept informed especially where these occur out of hours or are handed over to the out of hours team
- When visiting or inspecting a hall of residence note any safety, maintenance, housekeeping, security or building management issues & report any Health and Safety concerns.
- Commit to developing an appreciation of the various types of hall provision and the different tenancy agreements in place, develop strong professional working relationships with provider's out of hours personnel, undertake continuous training on health& safety, first Aid, mental health first aid, drug awares, EDI, disability awareness, Kinetics or the housing management system in place and in the provider managed halls, keycard door access programming systems, CCTV system operation, BMS and accident, incidentand near miss reporting.
- Assist with the management of any commercial use of Halls of Residence and when required that of other Halls of Residence managed by the University and assist in the operational delivery of any Summer Accommodation Bookings with in halls.
- Engage with local police, NHS services, fire service, local residents associations etc to ensure strong relationships are built with stakeholders local to the designated hall of residence. To periodically attend local Ward/residents associations meetingsand to respond to local residents complaints reliant to the hall of residence in conjunction with the building management team of the accommodation provider.
- Assist the Student Experience Manager with the planning and delivery of The Social Programme in halls of residence ensuring that events are managed in accordance with Risk Assessments, regulation and policy and be a point of escalation responding to anyissues reported, recording as appropriate.
- Deputise for the Senior out of Hours Residence Manager when required.

**Experience and skills required for the Out of Hours Residence Facilities Manager**:

- Specialist Knowledge & experience: _
- Current full UK driving licence - as you will be required to go travel from site to site, able to use own car (claim expenses) or use of company van
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with CCTV software management systems including reviewing footage and printing still images.
- Familiarity with keycard security access systems including re-programming fobs/cards and interrogating access reports
- Relevant experience:_
- Relevant experience in managing a similar environment
- Experience in pastoral care management and the identification of safeguarding.
- Experience in handling customer service issues
- Experience of lone working and working under pressure with little or no supervision during usual hours of work
- Leadership management
- Team worker
- A ' can do' attitude

**Hours and salary for the Out of Hours Residence Facilities Manager**:

- 35 hrs per week Thursday to Sunday - working a fixed 4 day shift pattern 8pm - 7am
- Grade 4: £36,532.00(starting salary)
