We are looking to appoint a Publishing Operations Executive (BBC), Audio on a 12-month FTC basis to cover an internal secondment.

At Penguin Random House Audio, the UK’s leading audiobook publisher, we are dedicated to making the very best audiobooks. Working with exceptional acting talent, producers, and studios, we publish award-winning and bestselling audiobooks such as Richard Osman’s The Thursday Murder Club series, Bernadine Evaristo’s Booker-winning Girl, Woman, Other, Stephen Fry’s Troy and Dr Julie Smith’s Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?

We’re also very proud to publish the BBC Audio list where we commercialise curated collections of BBC Radio’s spoken word content. BBC Audio publishes a wide range of entertainment, with comedy series including Just a Minute and I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue; sci-fi and fantasy programmes such as Doctor Who and The Lord of the Rings, and radio drama based on the works of writers including Agatha Christie, Patricia Highsmith, Alan Bennett and Arthur Conan Doyle.

**The opportunity**

This is an exciting time to join a fast-paced team that is setting a precedent for innovative and ground-breaking work, and as BBC Publishing Operations Executive, you’ll play a key role in bringing our audio publishing to new heights.

You will work closely with our BBC Audio Editorial team and be involved in the whole publishing process - from acquisition to publication and beyond. You’ll maintain the publishing schedule and ensure that all audiobooks are produced to the highest quality and oversee their distribution to retailers, including Google, Audible and Apple.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Organising title set up
- Managing production schedules
- Coordinating editing and mastering of audiobooks
- Quality control and post-production
- Audiobook distribution
- Retailer Support

**What we’re looking for from you**:
Whilst we don’t require existing experience in publishing or audio (although an interest in it is important), you will need to demonstrate professional experience that evidences the following skillset:

- You’ll have great attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- You’ll be highly organised and efficient
- You’ll have excellent prioritisation skills, being able to manage multiple work streams concurrently
