We are looking to recruit a Trusts and Foundations Officer

**Hours**: Part time 22.5 hours per week

**Location**:Stoke-on-Trent or optional hybrid working

**Responsible/Accountable to**: Chief Executive Officer

**Member of**:The Income Generation Team

**Salary**: £25,156.51 per annum pro rata - £16,997.64 pa

**Principal Objectives**:
**Key Tasks**:
1. Develop and implement a strategy for short, medium and long term growth of the trusts and foundations income stream.

3. Manage and develop the charity’s relations with trusts and foundations ensuring reporting requirements are submitted on time

5. Build excellent relationships with colleagues within Gingerbread to formulate and present compelling cases for support

6. Ensure stewardship plans are in place to maximise funder engagement with Gingerbread

7. Accurately monitor and report to the Chief Executive, Trustees, project teams and working groups on the financial performance of the income stream against key performance indicators

8. To prepare monthly work plans and work logs

9. Work with / support the fundraising and marketing initiatives

10. Ensure prospects and donor records are accurately recorded and maintained on the CRM system to ensure excellent stewardship and to help inform business decisions, ensuring compliance with the UK GDPR.

11. To be conversant with all fundraising developments, regulations, and legal responsibilities, ensuring compliance with those relevant to the key responsibilities of the post

12. Make a strong contribution to the wider objectives of the fundraising team and always maintain good relationships with colleagues and volunteers

13. Develop a good working knowledge of the issues affecting Gingerbread’s service users

14. Comply with all Gingerbread policies and procedures and undertake appropriate training and personal development as appropriate

15. To work as part of a team, group and project working group

16. Undertake such other reasonable tasks as may, from time to time, be necessary to support colleagues and promote the interests of the organisation

**Essential Criteria : -**
- An understanding of researching potential major donors
- Excellent research skills utilising a wide variety of information sources and platforms
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail and the ability to persuade, motivate and inspire whilst also delivering clear, concise messages to a wide audience
- An understanding of project budgets and experience of developing and presenting budget proposals
- Ability to work with colleagues (and service users where appropriate) to identify, research and craft engaging project proposals and stories for funding bids
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines to achieve income targets and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and influence internal and external contacts at all levels, and to represent Gingerbread in person with potential funders.
- Efficient administrative and organisational skills with a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office packages and the use of CRM/Donor databases
- Demonstrable knowledge of charitable grant giving organisations, funding policies, data protection and fundraising best practice
- A commitment to Gingerbread’s Values and Equal Opportunities Policy
