This is an exciting opportunity to join our Respiratory Department as an Administrative Assistant.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated person who can offer excellent administration skills to assist in the provision of a comprehensive service. This post holder will support the clinical teams and work as part of a well-established and supportive team.

To be successful you will have excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have a flexible and professional approach to the work and enjoy the variety of communicating with a wide range of people both internal and external to the Trust. This includes being the first point of contact for all forms of communication within the clinical team, ensuring the effective day to day running of the clinical practice and providing cover for colleagues as necessary.

To ensure Attendances, Outcomes, Referral to Treatment (RTT) and Procedure codes are recorded onto PAS in line with policies and procedures which guarantee funding to the Trust

To greet and receive and direct patients, carers and visitors at reception desks in line with the Trust procedures

To ensure all patient documentation is uploaded accurately including demographic information, patient letters and clinical data.

To ensure cross cover when required according to the service roster, clinical activity and line management requests.

To be actively involved and show a positive attitude towards service improvement initiatives.

To provide high levels of internal customer service

To assist in the training of newly appointed staff during the induction period and additional training as required.
