**The Role**

**Are you an experienced and knowledgeable Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Surveyor with coaching and mentoring skills?**

Joining our team as a Managing Surveyor you will be responsible for but not limited to**;**
- Managing the Quantity Surveyors within commercial team, ensure targets are met such as accurate build cost assessments, budget control throughout developments ensuring regular site visits to maintain an excellent relationship with our site teams.
- Supporting the Commercial Manager ensuring the Commercial Team are fully resourced, well directed and have full support in achieving their job responsibilities.
- Setting budgets and Managing build costs for each sites.
- Managing the working partnerships with third party suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed and the onsite works are delivered in accordance with the order placed.
- Engaging fully in the process of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
- Producing comprehensive Commercial reports and estimates for inclusion in Land Appraisals to support our growth plans.
- Maintaining current site budgets, completing a cost and valuation exercise including compiling a report of the variances to the commercial manager and managing director.
- Producing key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to the commercial function.

**Who are we looking for?**

As well as being able to demonstrate your experience within the Quantity Surveying field, you must also possess an aptitude to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of staff within our business whilstalso maintaining a keen desire to work in a quality driven business.

You will be a natural leader with the ability to coach and mentor others.
- A full UK driving licence
- Knowledge and experience within the Quantity Surveying field ideally with a key focus on new homes
- A good understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build.
- Good Financial/Commercial awareness & Technical knowledge within the Construction Industry.
