We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at AM Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in managing costs, ensuring efficient progress, and maintaining financial control on our projects.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Planning and Estimating: Assess client needs, estimate material quantities, and negotiate contracts to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Financial Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures to maintain financial control.
- Procurement and Contract Negotiation: Provide procurement advice, negotiate contracts, and support the tendering process to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Post-Contract Cost Control: Manage post-contract cost control, valuations, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Research and Analysis: Research the cost of materials, transport, labor, and equipment, and analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Qualifications: RICS qualification (desirable), BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar, and full driving license (desirable).
- Experience: Proven experience in estimating, surveying, or tendering, with strong numeracy skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Behavioral Competencies: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamworking, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
