Waves Care LTD is a small business in High Wycombe. We are professional, supportive, rewarding, and our goal is help children and young people over come trauma and take the next steps in their lives. Waves Care will be offering their senior support workers between £26,500-£28,500 plus £60 per sleep in. Working in our Children's Home means being a part of a young person's day to day life. This means being there for the highest highs and lowest lows. Our support workers are a part of enabling our young people to get their childhood back and create pathways to become well rounded adults - an incredibly rewarding role to have. There will be challenges along the way but there will also be the smallest moments which feel like a huge small victory Our home accommodates young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and our aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in our care..

**Responsibilities**:

- Ability to lead team, work as part of a team, to enable cohesive and effective team working
- Ability to work on your own initiative, within agreed procedures and parameters, being the roll model for the staff team.
- Ability to establish effective communication with children / young adult, team members and managers
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports and children / young adult notes and communicate effectively with staff/managers.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Able to listen and act on instructions from team member
- Ability to prioritise and organise day to day workload, and helping staff where needed.
- Good time keeping

Our senior support workers are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There will be times when a young person wakes up in the middle of the night dealing with severe trauma, feeling ill, upset or just unable to sleep -having someone there that understands them and provide support in that moment can make a huge difference. Building a rapport and becoming someone our young people can trust in their time of need is what we are looking for. In quieter times we will need you to take care of tasks around the home such as paper work, cleaning and laundry and helping with the day to day running of the home, whilst teaching and encouraging the children and young people to become independent in these tasks as well as taking pride in their home and themselves. - Salary : £26, 500- £28,500 dependent on qualifications and experience plus £60 sleep ins.
- Training : A full 6-week induction/ Mandatory training/ Level 3- L
