Ashford, United Kingdom County Square Shopping Centre - Landswood Facilities Management Full time

**Purpose of the Role**

Monitoring and Access control of the shopping centre out of hours. Monitoring CCTV, performing internal foot patrols, controlling contractors and deliveries to the centre, safeguarding centre property, maintaining control room records and responding to emergencies.

**Reporting to**:
Customer Services Supervisor and Manager

**Hours Per Week**

**Average** 24 hours per week (Rostered shift pattern - 4 nights on, 8 off) (12 hour shifts)

On occasion, additional shifts to cover team holidays/sickness **will be expected to be covered** by this officer where reasonable.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Monitoring of CCTV to protect the centre and prevent accidents, crimes and incidents.
- Carry out routine **internal** patrols of the shopping malls, public areas, car park and the site generally ensuring security, safety and cleanliness of the premises.
- Control access to visitors, contractors and tenants.
- Be an initial point of contact out of hours and delivering high levels of customer service at all times.
- Operate the control room and its equipment to include the fire system, radio networks and CCTV (where appropriate)
- Liaise with tenants, police, fire, ambulance, town centre control and Centre Management on matters of safety and security.
- Complete all necessary control room, incident and other paperwork as required.
- Ensure any keys from the control room are signed in and out and call out tenant keyholders in the event of an emergency, as necessary.
- Administer first aid (only after completion of training).
- Carry out centre fire evacuation, bomb search, and evaluations as necessary.
- Full uniform and PPE will be supplied.
- All holidays to be agreed with the Soft Services Manager
- To be prepared to be flexible, particularly in an emergency to enable shifts to be fully manned.
- Ensuring delivery of security duties in accordance with the Site Assignment Instructions, legislative and industry standards.
- In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and a Public Space Surveillance Licence (CCTV).

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**
- Current and Valid SIA Licence (Essential)
- Public Space Surveillance Licence (Essential )
- ACT Completion (Preferred - not essential)
- IOSH Working Safely (Preferred - not essential)
- First Aid training (Preferred - not essential)

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £12.43 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
