The Head of Information is the key information role in relation to the provision of Business Intelligence and Information Management, ensuring that accurate and timely information, analysis and interpretation is available to support the successful running of the Trust by supporting clinical care, business planning and performance management.

The Head of Information will provide innovative information solutions to customers so evidence-based decisions can be made.

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) provides a full range of general acute, outpatient and diagnostic services at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, the Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishop’s Stortford, and St Margaret’s Hospital in Epping.

We employ 3,500 staff and serve a local population of around 350,000 people living in west Essex and east Hertfordshire, centred on the M11 corridor and the towns of Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford and Epping. Our extended catchment area incorporates a population of up to 500,000 and includes the areas of Hoddesdon, Cheshunt and Broxbourne in Hertfordshire.

- To have Line Management responsibilities for the Information resources reporting to the role, including the requirement to report absence, settle grievances and conduct appraisals.
- To work with the Information managers to understand how to make best use of the analyst resource available, coordinating information processes and taking lead for delivery of strategic analysis and monitoring of compliance against Trust Performance Assurance Framework on behalf of the Trust.
- Develop a personal development plan annually as part of the Individual Performance Review process for yourself and your team members.
