**The Role**

As a result of our continued expansion and ongoing success, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our AASC South Yorkshire team.

Working within South Yorkshire Asylum accommodation & support contract (AASC) you will be supporting Asylum Seeking families along with single men / women in dispersed accommodation. Our aim is to empower our individuals to live independently and to integrate within the local community. We work closely with external agency’s such as health and education to ensure all our individuals are supported holistically. We also work closely with our contracting agencies to ensure property is maintained the highest possible standard.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Assist asylum Seekers to move in to dispersed accommodation throughout South Yorkshire provided by Target Housing
- Assist individuals with GP registration in their local area. Offer support with any urgent health care needs by contacting relevant local services.
- Ensure individuals have access to correct cash funds.
- Support individuals to understand their rights and responsibilities under their accommodation arrangements.
- Carry out regular visits (twice Monthly) to ensure the accommodation is good general repair.
- Report any maintenance issue within Target Housing accommodation.
- Ensure visits and events are properly recorded (and signed where necessary) and copied to relevant officers in the organisation.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Experience of providing support to vulnerable individuals
- The ability to develop constructive relationships
- An understanding of cultural differences and the challenges asylum seekers may face
- Basic IT skills suitable for an office environment

**Requirements**:

- A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle. Business insurance will be required.
- Enhanced DBS Check
- Right to Work in the UK
