Hyde is looking to recruit a Diversity and Inclusion Lead to support the business.

We require a senior Diversity & Inclusion leader who is going to facilitate Hyde becoming an organisation that excels in inclusivity at every level. We already have several diversity and inclusion initiatives providing a good foundation to build on. We nowneed someone who can come in and critique, challenge, develop and enhance our diversity and inclusion offering.

This role is about more than inclusive recruitment strategies and training. It’s about ensuring that at every level from procurement to building homes, everyone in the business strives towards developing an organisation that is inclusive and relatable tostaff and customers.

Whilst this role is very much strategic, it does require someone who will own project delivery, roll their sleeves up and embed themselves within Hyde.

Main Purpose of Role
- Provide focus, leadership and expertise on diversity and inclusion across Hyde
- Partner with the Executive and Senior Leadership teams and the Group Board to educate, influence and drive change helping to create and sustain an inclusive culture.
- Act as a point of scrutiny and challenge to ensure diversity and inclusion runs through the business, holding senior leaders to account to drive critical diversity/inclusion related actions.
- Work as an advisor and partner to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams and the Group Board to educate, influence and persuade, aligning diversity and inclusion with business objectives.
- Act as a point of challenge holding senior leaders to account in discharging their responsibilities around equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Scrutinise and challenge key business practices (for example procurement, recruitment, training) to ensure an appropriate focus on diversity and inclusion.
- Coach and counsel leaders and colleagues to influence better decisions related to customer and people practices through a D&I lens.
- Use D&I data and trends to provide meaningful insight for the business

Essential
- Must be comfortable discussing, race, ethnicity and other protected characteristics at an executive level
- Previous experience of coaching and challenging Execs essential
- 7 years’ experience at a senior level in business with a focus on D&I required
- A track record of improving D&I within an organisation
- Must be able to demonstrate initiatives that you have embedded within an organisation and the results delivered
