Autonomously to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer or discharge patients attending the Urgent Treatment Centre, within the parameters of the Emergency care Practitioner (ECP) scope of practice. They will work collaboratively as part of the UTC team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. The post holder will be providing assessment, treatment, care and education to patients presenting to UTC from all sections of the community, from age 2 through to the elderly to ensure a high-quality patient centered service

The post holder will work autonomously as an independent practitioner providing consistently high quality and timely patient centred care. You will lead by example ensuring that care is compassionate and caring at all times in line with the trust values. You will be able to identify the need for appropriate diagnostic tests and interpret results including laboratory and radiography investigations.

The post holder willundertake joint appraisals and supervision of trainee ECPs, offering support and line management as needed. You will work with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that care is evidence based and that continuous quality improvement programmes are in place that constantly challenges practice.
